[Chiptune Orchestral] Gleaming Forest

Aaaand onto week 28! Time to get back on the grind, and most importantly, flesh out my portfolio! Some of you who've been following me this year might've noticed that I've been getting into music freelance for video games. And there's not much point trying to talk my way into jobs without a decent portfolio to back it up. wink Weeklybeats allows me to upload tracks like these to get a lil' bit of last minute feedback as well as general impressions, so as usual!: Thanks so much for listening and I'll see you next week! heart

Sounds quite fantastic to me. If you want to show your JRPG-like scoring skills, I guess this is a perfect example. Very "animal crossy" to my ears.

And quite a good balance of acoustic instruments (be it Kontakt or the like) and the most chippy lead synths

A great genre (add electric guitars for the complete domination). Fantastic composition going on.

lovely!

I'd hire you in a Santa Fe minute.

Dude you're so good at orchestral chip, those timbres all just blends together so snugly!
But apart from that, lovely melodies, great harmonies, overall very well done piece imo smile

(Reminds me of the stuff done for the NDS Crystal Chronicle games)

Thanks! heart Hopefully I'll be able to compose to the same standard in future! heart (Also I never got past the DS Lite, been thinking of buying an NDS for myself tho!)

Wait, the lite came after the normal NDS. I think you’re talking about the 3DS (which I’ve never had as well)?
